Mommy and Me Classes
Hello mamas. I’m a pediatric, women’s health and sports physical therapist. I give a Mommy and Baby workout class in the comfort of your building’s gym space- in person and virtually. When in person, it's a great way to get out of the apartment with baby, and get a workout. Virtually, we respect your time and come to you when you can't leave your house. The babies seem to love it too and mommies get back to shape!
The classes are concentrated on education of babies and mommies, the right timing to return to exercise, gross motor development of the baby, tummy time, massage techniques, baby gas relief and much more. We make it fun and educational from PT perspective. Kids age range 0-prewalking age.
How Can We Help?
For your convenience, we’ve put together a list of some of the most common questions we are asked and their respective answers. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, drop us a line and we’ll do our best to get you the information as soon as possible.
What type of Physical Therapy do you practice?
Mckenzie Method, also know as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), internationally recognized method that is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education for neck, back and extremity issues. A comprehensive, safe and reliable initial assessment that accurately comes up to diagnosis and understanding the core issue to then make the appropriate and the most optimal treatment plan. The MckKenzie Method rarely requires expensive tests as Certified MDT clinicians will know if and how the McKenzie Method will work for each patient.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No, you don't need a referral from the doctor for the first 30 days or first 10 visits, whichever comes first. Direct access is a law that allows patients to seek treatment from a physical therapist without a referral from a physician, dentist, podiatrist or nurse practitioner, that is trained and qualified to rule out any serious pathology in order to start evaluation and treatment.
Direct access gets you treatment sooner! You do not have to wait to get an appointment with your doctor which could take weeks, missing out on treatment that can decrease your pain, improve your mobility and get you back doing what you want to do.
Additionally, research shows utilization of direct access is helping to decrease costs on the healthcare system from unnecessary imaging and/or doctor’s visits for straightforward musculoskeletal injuries.
What types of health insurance do you accept?
We do not work with any insurance carriers. However, we do give you an invoice to claim the reimbursement from your insurance company.
